Conference Event Participation
All meal functions and optional activities can be selected on the registration form. All attendees must be registered and have a name badge to participate in conference events (meals, exhibits, sessions). Exceptions are for family members or guests of Silver Antelope and/or Silver Buffalo award recipients who wish to attend only the meal including the award presentation. These special guests need to purchase a ticket to the respective dinner, but do not need to pay a registration fee.
Food Menus
Menus have been developed to satisfy most attendees. Anyone requiring a special meal due to dietary restrictions should indicate so on the online registration form and request a special Dietary Restriction Card at the onsite Scouting America registration desk. A special meal ticket will be included in your packet to advise the waiter of your need for a special meal. Scouting America and the Rosen Shingle Creek Orlando will make every effort to accommodate your needs.
Attire
Attire for most events is business casual. The Silver Antelope and Silver Buffalo Recognition Dinners dress allows you to choose your preference of business dress, evening attire or Scouting America Dress Uniform.
National Annual Meeting participant name badges are needed for entry into meetings, meals, events, and exhibits associated with the National Annual Meeting. Complete your online registration and then, upon arrival, pick up your badge at the onsite Scouting America registration desk during registration hours.
NOTE: Photo ID is required to pick up your name badge. Each participant must pick up their own name badge.
Itinerary
Your Itinerary for the meeting can be found on your registration confirmation email. It will also be available on the National Annual Meeting Mobile APP called Scout Events.
NAM Mobile APP
In alignment with our environmentally conscious Scouting values, the National Annual Meeting will be (mostly) paperless. The materials participants received in paper packets at the onsite registration desk in previous years will be available via the mobile app.
To access your personal schedule, general information about the hotel, and electronic copies of the agenda and materials for your meetings and events, please be sure to bring your smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer.
In mid to late April, all registered participants will receive an email message with instructions for downloading the National Annual Meeting APP – Scout Events.
Prefer paper? Before you depart home, access the web version of the app from your desktop or laptop computer. Then download and print any of the meeting materials you prefer to carry with you. We will be unable to print them onsite.
Cancellations
Cancellations and/or Refunds will be issued upon receipt of email notification no later than midnight, Friday, April 12 with a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellation with refund requests should be emailed to officeof.eventmanagement@scouting.org.
Refunds requested after April 12 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
