National Annual Business Meeting

Thursday, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

The Annual Business Meeting is the core event of the National Annual Meeting. BSA National Chairman Randall Stephenson will preside as the nominating, resolutions, and treasurer reports are presented. This action-packed general session will inspire and equip you to provide leadership in 2018 and beyond.

Strategic Initiatives

Thursday, 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

After the Business Meeting, join us for a discussion of Strategic Initiatives that will help chart the course for the movement’s future.  Discussions will include an update of the Game Plan, Youth Protection efforts, and information on the progress of Family Scouting. There will also be time for questions and answers.

Commissioner Service Strategic Review (for all Commissioners)

Thursday, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

Join us for an open discussion with the National Commissioner Charles W. Dahlquist and the National Commissioner Service Team Task Force about ongoing and future initiatives regarding serving units and unit leaders.

The session will include updates on unit service priorities, and recruiting and training new unit and administrative commissioners. There will also be discussion on the commissioner’s role in serving the entire family of Scouting and how to reach out to units that are classified as a retention risk.

This session is free, but space is limited.  Lunch will not be provided.

Regional Business Meetings

Thursday, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Local councils will be recognized in regional business meetings on Thursday afternoon.  These meetings will also include elections for regional presidents, commissioners, executive committee, executive board, and advisory board.
